If you haven't worn a sports bra before, you may get a little bit of a surprise because of how differently they fit to our every day styles we know and love. But different is good! Your Sports bras need to fit differently because they do more than just lift you up and keep them from your knees.
The most common feedback we hear is how much firmer the sports bras are. They do stretch, and give (like all things we wear) but our sports are designed to fit snug to the body, they're meant to feel restrictive.
Most sports bras also have a more rigid fabric, and therefor offer less stretch in the band. This helps pull your bust back and help anchor you more to your chest (fancy words for reducing lady orb bounce) You'll often see a J-Hook/ Cross over feature on a lot of Sports Bras. This is a great little feature! Not only does it help provide added support, it can help with posture and pesky straps falling off our shoulders. If your sports bra has this option we recommend trying it out!
One of the things I love about a sports bra is the high coverage! I really appreciate the fact that I don't have to hold my breast in when I wear my sports bra now. I don't have that fear of popping out or having an unpleasant slip when I bend over because the boulders are not tucked away properly. I can freely jump and run with out getting a concussion (I'm kidding, I actually wouldn't be caught dead jumping or running, I am the first to go in a zombie apocalypse and I am okay with that)
Hey! Psst! If you're thinking you don't need a sports bra because maybe you're not that active, or you represent for the smaller bust, think again! Did you know that a 12B can move as much 8cms whilst working out and a 16DD as much as 18cms!
