As your baby grows the internal organs are pushed upwards, creating expansion in the ribcage.
This explains why you may find you will need to go up a back size as well as cup size throughout your pregnancy.
It is really important that you are wearing the correct maternity bra during your pregnancy as you need to feel comfortable and supported whilst going through these changes.At 12 weeks you should properly be fitted for a maternity bra, as this is when your body will really start to show changes and you will start appreciating true comfort and a great fitting style.
There are a range of maternity bras available, most will be wire-free but you can still purchase maternity bras with wire (which is only recommended if you have a bra that is fitted correctly to prevent mastitis).
